This classic, directed by Spike Jonze, was dubbed “the best rug-pull in advertising history” (Adweek, 2017), playfully suggesting that people have an unnatural attachment to their furniture. It marked IKEA’s arrival in the U.S. and earned both the Cannes Grand Prix and the Grand Clio.

I stumbled upon this gem hiding on my old PowerBook G4. It’s the original storyboard image that we used to sell this idea to the client. Let’s just say Mr. Jonze took this baby to the next level.
